“We do children an enormous disservice when we assume that they cannot appreciate anything beyond drive through fare and nutritionally marginal, kid-targeted convenience foods. Our children are capable of consuming something that grew in a garden or on a tree and never saw a deep fryer. They are capable of making it through dinner at a sit-down restaurant with tablecloths and no climbing equipment. Children deserve quality nourishment.”

MEALS & SNACKS
Meals are prepared in our school's kitchen, daily, from fresh and when possible organic or Non-GMO ingredients. Lunches and snacks are served to children and teachers alike. Through family style dining children learn good manners , social skills, taking turns and sharing, saying please and thank you, helping to set the table, fine motor skills and trying new foods. Children are exposed to a wide variaty of fresh vegetables and fruits. Morning snacks (10am) consist of yogurt and fresh cut fruits. Afternoon snacks (4pm) consist of cheese, humus or dressing with fresh cut vegetables/fruits and a choice of grain product.
